    (a) The board may at its discretion issue a dental intern permit or dental hygienist intern permit to any person to whom it has not issued a license but who is a graduate of a dental college or school of dental hygiene recognized by the board and is otherwise qualified to take the regular examination for a license given by the board.

    (b) The fee for the permit shall be set by the board under section 13 of this chapter.

    (d) The permit shall be valid for only one (1) year from date of issue, shall be renewable in the discretion of the board upon the payment of a fee determined by the board under section 13 of this chapter, and may be recalled at any time by the board.
