Surgical Technologists Licensing in New Hampshire

Have completed high school or its equivalent

Complete one college-level course in human anatomy and physiology, or pass a college-level equivalency program or credit by exam

Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) certification

Adult and infant/child CPR certification issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

Have not been convicted of a crime involving theft, or injury or violence to others

Have no condition or circumstance of character or mental or physical state that might discredit the applicant, or prevent the applicant from expected performance as a midwife

Have made arrangements for medical back-up to support the applicant's practice

Have made arrangements for prenatal laboratory testing

• newborn metabolic screening
• and any necessary administration of Rh(D) immune globulin

Have experience, achieved within five years prior to date of application, under a preceptorship as follows:

Perform at least 100 prenatal visits on at least 15 different clients, including at least five prenatal visits and postpartum follow-up on each of ten clients

Attend at least 25 live out-of-hospital births as an observer or person a

Education: Degree required.

Experience: No experience required.

Background/Criminal Review: Specific type of conviction prohibited.

Physical Requirement: No physical requirements.

Certification: Certification required.
